Before you answer this question, it is important to know that youth soccer is all about letting the kids have fun. The focus should be on making drills and sessions so exciting that they are always full of enthusiasm.

So, to teach youth soccer, keep in mind the following three tips. These will instill the ability in the kids to become mature players.

Let the players have fun: As discussed, youth soccer translates into fun sessions for the players. As a coach, you must plan each session well in advance. For instance, make the kids do some warm-up exercises to prepare them for the main drills. Once done, instruct them to go ahead with the advanced drills such as passing the ball, dribbling with it and trapping etc.

In addition, help the kids do some creative thinking on their own. Encourage them to try new things and even of they are doing something wrongly, do not interrupt them. Discuss with them after the practice session is over. Parents need to be actively involved if the game has to be made enjoyable for the children.

To coach youth soccer, it is important since the kids will spend a considerable time with their parents off the field. Ask the parents to inspire the kids, keep a track of their diet, and be regular in their training sessions.

Adapt to the age level: Teaching soccer to the youth is generally for kids between 7-14 years of age. At this time, it is highly testing to create drills that stimulate the kids. So, research a lot over what games you would like them to play. In addition, it is important to keep the age of the kids in mind while conversing with them as they may not find it easy to understand your instructions if they are too complex.

Drills to Improve Your Vertical Leap

People involved in sports, in particular basketball, football, soccer, and volleyball, are frequently interested in finding a way to improve their vertical leap. There are many exercises and programs existing that are specially intended for improving a person’s jumping ability. Before starting any of these programs though, an athlete ought to at least be in good general physical shape. Here we go over a few exercises that you could start with before starting a training program. These will help get you started.

Warm Ups
Before beginning any exercises, you need to warm your muscles up. Jog around for ten minutes or run up and down the stairs for a while. It is also a good idea to stretch your muscles prior to beginning your exercises. Warming up before doing exercises helps you improve muscle fibers that are used during the jumping process.

Skipping Rope
Skipping rope is an exercise that is often overlooked, and shouldn’t be, as it will contribute to increasing the strength of your legs. It also helps maintain excellent cardiovascular condition. Perform this exercise for fifteen to 30 minutes on a regular basis.

Knee Raises
Grab an overhead bar firmly, with your arms about shoulder-width apart. Hang from the overhead bar, with your arms fully extended and knees bent slightly. Holding this position, slowly raise your knees towards your chest. Squeeze your stomach muscles during this process. Maintain this position for a few seconds, before lowering your legs back down. Repeat this five times.

Knee Bends
One of the best ways to improve your leg strength is with knee bends (also called squats). Stand in an upright position – straight, with chest out and with your back straight. Proceed to bend your knees slowly, maintaining a straight back. Crouch, in a slow movement, to the maximum possible extent. Repeat this process 20 times.

Toe Touches
Stand straight. Bend from the waist while keeping your legs straight. Continue bending down as far as you can go while trying to touch your toes with your fingers. Maintain this position for a couple seconds. Do this exercise slowly and do not “bounce” while trying to touch your toes. Do this 30 times.

Sit-Ups
Sit-ups will help improve your vertical leap. Begin with with your back flat on the floor, with your legs bent at the knees, and your feet flat on the floor. Place you hands behind your head. Now, curl your shoulders off the floor, in a slow movement. Continue to bring your body to an upright position. Try to not “pull” on the back of your head with your hands. Concentrate on making your stomach do the work. Exercises for your midsection are important for all physical activity as your ultimate all around strength and flexibility start here. Repeat this 10-20 times.

Man U vs Liverpool-The Worst Rivalry In Football?

There’s been a healthy rivalry between Manchester United and Liverpool FC for over 100 years…but is that a good thing or a bad thing.

Mention great sports rivalries and several could come to mind.  There was Muhammad Ali versus Joe Frazier in boxing, Chris Evert versus Martina Navratilova in tennis and Greg Norman versus Nick Faldo in golf.A healthy cricket rivalry continues between India and Pakistan.Anatoly Karpov and Garry Kasparov have even made competitive chess seem exciting with their ongoing rivalry through the years.

But can any of these admittedly classic face-offs hold a candle to the colossal confrontation that occurs whenever the Red Devils of Manchester United clash with the Liverpool Reds?  In what has to be the greatest rivalry in football, if not all sports, there is a way to look at things analytically to determine why it exists, and why it continues:

1. The Northwest Derby – Matchups between the two clubs are often referred to using this moniker.There’s been quite a rivalry between the cities of Liverpool and Manchester ever since industrial times, and that sense of competition is certainly not lacking in the football world.

2. “The Greatest English Football Club” – Manchester United and Liverpool both lay claim to the title of The Greatest English Football Club.  A similar number of trophies have been won by each club, and they are also the two most successful English teams in European competition.

3. Fans and Money – The two clubs are widely-supported throughout the world and boast some of the most devoted fans in any sport.Also, they are two of the biggest-earning clubs in the world.

4.  Player Haters – As with a lot of football clubs, the fans can be downright hostile to each other sometimes.  With Liverpool and Man U, though, the hostility spills over to the players too occasionally.United striker Wayne Rooney has publicly mentioned that when he was growing up he hated Liverpool FC.  Liverpool’s Steven Gerrard meanwhile once told a television crew how, although he regularly exchanges shirts with opposing players, he will never have a Manchester United shirt in his house.

5. Transfers? What are Transfers? – Since 1964, no player has been directly transferred between the two clubs; the few who have played for both sides always played for a different city’s club in between. As recently as 2007, United left-back Gabriel Heinze expressed a desire to move to Liverpool, and a bid was made, but Man U rejected the bid and stated that Heinze would only join a foreign club if he chose to leave – all due to the age old rivalry.

In a way, it’s inspiring the way two rival football clubs can be so passionate about the sense of competition between them.I’m sure some people don’t understand how others can get so worked up about a game, and think the whole rigamarole is just silly.  So, who’s the best team in football?That’s simple.  Everyone knows it’s Spurs.
